Fire in the Midst of Woods

DAP & UMNO Youth, would there be infernal affairs in the years to come?

A twist of fate had landed on our nation ever since the incidence of 308 ( a serious major blow to BN), and we do not know when this will end. But one thing for sure, integration between different races does not seemed to achieved successfully after so many years of independence, racial issues still appear so frequently. To top it all, it becomes heated up during moments of financial downturn.

This absolutely happens at the wrong place, wrong time.

"Celaka"

9:02 PM Edit This 0 Comments »
During my secondary school moments, when I was still an adolescent, very rarely I got a chance to hang out with my friends. One of the many reasons, I was considered an introvert-inclined individual back then, furthermore, I'm very well known with my own records of school-shifting (I've shifted schools as many as...ermm... 6 times), as a result, I did not have very close childhood friends whom I known outside of my house. I've lost contacts with almost all my primary school friends, be it secondary friends, to me, they're all the same; people who come and go.

When I grabbed an opportunity to hang out with my friends years ago, I would always frown at the word "Fcuk" which displayed in the shopping mall. Of course, my friends were feeling the same way I did, we were just a bunch of immature blokes back then. Even more immature was the way we used the word by applying it into our daily malicious verbal activities. Little did we know that it stands for "French Connection United Kingdom". I guess there are still people out there doing stuffs like what we did many years ago.

Well, Malays have their own hard words too! For example, "celaka", indeed is a word which is used by overly angered individuals (but my father did use often, he sometimes purposely embed that word into a conversation). When a Malay spills that word out from his or her mouth, or by any means a person spilled referring a malay to that word, it means war.
Expect a mouth-watering war... And it could potentially transform into an offensive jabs-exchanging, 18SG-rated scene with parental guidance.

Karpal Singh, having defamed the name of Perak's Sultan, had received two live bullets from unidentified individuals whom suspiciously claimed to be members from UMNO. Without tolerance, Karpal Singh's volcano erupted by lashing out one of the most prohibited words as far as malays are concerned. Now it caused an uproar all over Malaysia.

Hey, this is no "Fcuk", dude!

Best Animated Feature: WALL-E
Best Adapted Screenplay: Slumdog Millionaire, Simon Beaufoy
Best Original Screenplay: Milk, Dustin Lance Black

What a shame that The Curious Case of Benjamin Button could not grab even half of the number of its very own nominations... That movie did made my heart melted a little (ahem..). But Slumdog Millionaire, a hit which was tipped to be the favorite big winner even before the curtain calls, had indeed fulfilled the hopes of everyone, by grabbing 8 out of its 10 nominations. I gotta give that movie a go no matter what, I promised myself.

Another hot movie which is thought to be one of the major winners, Milk, on the other hand, could take heart from producing the best Lead actor, Sean Penn. In animation, Wall-E is indeed worthy of its award.

Vegetarian?

Since Muslims (Look, I'm not violating racial issues over here, so ISA.... please don't get yourself involve in this if you see this yea?) are all around us, other races tend to make jokes and poke some fun into their eyes by lashing out food issues such as pork and alcohol.

Lately, I hanged out with my colleagues for a luncheon, a somewhat... err... unusual luncheon, at least for me. We went into a vegetarian restaurant. Throughout the dining moments, we were discussing halal and non-halal issues.

Well, yes, Muslims are forbidden to consume certain foods and beverages, and what about those self-proclaimed vegetarians? (Once again, I'm not pointing fingers at all the vegetarians... No hard feelings yea?)

What I'm trying to say is, why does vegetarian-char siew exist? Why is there vegetarian-siew ngor present within the vegetarian community? Why do they imitate prawns by making molds out of flour? Why?? Why are they mimicking meats in the first place?

Aren't they, too forbidden to consume pork (meat) like Muslims do? But they are making it as though it tastes like the real meat, why are they doing this? Can anyone tell me?

Are they trying hard to impress others who are not vegetarian, so that they could earn additional income (these vegetarian dishes are wayyyy more expensive than the original meat)? Or are they simply could not resist the temptation of the flavor of meat?

My Job

9:28 AM Edit This 2 Comments »
Looking into the past, I've not blog about working for even once! Well... maybe people don't really BLOG about what they're doing, because very often, they just BRAG about work. Certain words are closely related to work, such as "Sucks", "Bored", "Damn", you name it... Very unfortunately, people tend to view working merely as a way to earn some income, to sustain their lives so that they won't end up like the beggars who dwell in my neighborhood.

Majority of the people in this earth are treating their occupations as bummers. We enjoy our occupation very rarely, some of you would even refer to people who like their jobs as work-a-holics.

But frankly speaking, I do enjoy my current job (at least I am, presently...). But in other ways, my job sometimes scared the hell outta me. For instance, you need to explain products one on one to some seriously speaking white-collars, in a blink of an eye, some aunties are bragging their grandmother stories which are somewhat unrelated to nutrition for hours. Sometimes, I am forced to stand in the middle of the podium, and tried your very best to entertain the audiences. Of course, researches and some studies are inevitable. Without any early notices, I am sometimes told to stay back, and reach home greeting the stars and the moon.

In one of these coming days, I'll be involving in my first ever outstation errand...

Well, for those of you who wants to know what I'm doing currently, these are what I've been doing generally...

I hope this does not sound like a BRAG to you, but a proper BLOG.

Cheers.

Every time when I am down (moments where no people really know I feel that way), I would love to watch stupid and funny videos in order to brighten up my day.

Recently I found this one quite amazingly done, and I wonder how they did that:

Political Poisoning

4:29 PM Edit This 2 Comments »
I admit that I own an unhealthy body, I fall sick very easily, and quite often too... Most probably relatively frequent than any of my friends around me.

Just two days ago, I was hanging out with my two Malay colleagues and had lunch with them. When we got back to the office, I could not help myself but to think to myself about what are those stomachs of Malays made out of? My stomach was causing me massive upset, those two whom ate almost similar food with me were so laid-back and sat on their seats so not abnormally!

And there it goes, I puked a whole lot of rendang out from my belly... When I was driving back home, I could not focus at all, what's gotten in front of me were so blurred... To prevent an unwanted accident, I parked my car at the side, and closed my eyes for a few minutes, hoping for a brief rest.

But I continued with my vomiting when I reached home. Consulted a doc, took some medicine, and puked restlessly again... I simply was dispirited for anything else besides lying on the sofa. And so, my two-day MCs were attained (gotta go back to work for a meeting on Saturday though).

In these couple of days, I gradually felt that the governmental policies are misused in many ways, it is nothing different than a food poisoning situation which I'm suffering now, everything seems to be in a mess.

The latest poison, the current infamous speaker, Mr. Sivakumar seemed to be committing a huge mistake by suspending the new minister of Perak as well as the other 6 exco members. Even the DAP leader, Karpal Singh was shocked in disbelief with the speaker's decision.

Now, apart from investigating the allegations in power abusing activity done by the Selangor Menteri Besar, MACC has another job to do, which is to investigate whether Mr. Sivakumar got himself involved into some corruption or bribery wrongdoings as far as his flabbergasted decision is concerned.

Can't they put more efforts and come together to face the upcoming tipped financial crisis in Malaysia on this coming June, rather than indulging themselves playing political games for now?

These are not mere poison, but venom to our nation.

Nude Photos Circulation... Not Again??

10:07 PM Edit This 0 Comments »
These days people tend to use the same issues to heat up the crowd eh?

A year or two ago, it was Edison Chen's moments. Although many female movie stars as well as female singers were involved, but Cecilia Cheung was seriously blamed for that incident, and not to forget the "once naive Gillian Chung".

Soon after that, Uncle Chua's case was declared world wide in order to tarnish his name. As the time goes by, local evil politicians seem to cultivate a new hobby within themselves, that is by using tricks which concern with nude photos and videos to defame their rivals. Well, I have strong words for those who involved in those frenzy case though, they were certainly responsible for the aftermaths, but certainly not on this current one.

Elizabeth Wong, as a highly revered Selangor State Exco Member, was smeared as far as her good name is concerned. Her life will be once and for all tainted with this dirty tricks done by a person who was so-called her boyfriend (well, a real boyfriend who's true to you certainly won't do that, aren't they?). From her blog, you would see that this individual certainly is a strong and tough lady who carries burdens and sky-rocketed ambitions, for the sake of the nation.

Just like how she put it, she has no reason feeling to be blamed. She was asleep and all, but some malicious guy just came a took a few crazy shots at her, and the circulation began. One thing for sure, the main culprit is certainly pumping himself with laughing gas. He or she must be thinking that his or her plan would succeed now that an obstruction is down.

Well, the real culprit definitely has achieved one of their purposes, by forcing Elizabeth Wong intentionally offered resignation as a consequence of the incident. Politicians these days would willing to sacrifice anything, including their own integrity, in order to notch the top spot, and score some political points? What would they benefited from the nation in a democratic country despite they succeed in the later stage? They still need to listen to our voices in the end of the day.

Ms Elizabeth, you certainly have tons of people back you up! Never flinches!

Presidency

Auto makers giants such as Ford and Toyota are cutting jobs like splashing pails of water, thousands and thousands of people are becoming jobless, and more cases of committing suicide due to unsustainable pressure, especially to the family breadwinners in U.S are increasing by leaps and bounds.

The then Senator Barack Obama has now successfully becoming the successor of the president of United States. And thank God he lived up his words to make a major change in the country as he proposed a stimulus package which comes in a lum sum of money. I would like to wish him the best of luck after he signed the bill. That was the major first step, and kudos to him for such bravery change.

But strangely, our country does not seem to be affected much by the crisis JUST YET. This must have something to do with the presidency. When our current deputy prime minister takes office at the end of March, perhaps it's time for other countries in Asia, to make way for us to experience how bitter the current crisis taste.

Till then, all eyes of Malaysians will be no longer on the foreign PM, but on the local one.

By Elections Fiesta

I could not help but started to giggle myself when i watched the news about how Nizar was putting all his efforts to enter his office in Perak. Gate was closed, journalists were ambushing the cars, basically, that was such a chaotic scenario.

After the defeat, Pakatan Rakyat seems to be venting angers on Sultan Perak, and it comes to an extent that the infamous Karpal Singh wanted to actually bring both the case as well as Sultan Azlan up to the court. Obviously, this has further enraged the nation, since Sultan Azlan possessed a great image all this while.

Later on, the minister in Kedah could not stand the immense pressure working as a politician, and thus resigned at his own will. A few days after that, another by election is to be held on the same day with the Kedah by-election. There are so many by-elections out of the blue.

But the point is, can we really trust members of Pakatan Rakyat these days? The de facto leader of Pakatan Rakyat has once broke the heart of every reformation hopefuls by giving out blank promises. Perhaps BN has slowly come to after fast asleep for half a year now?

News revealed that the reason why the two hottest contemporary by-elections in town (Bukit Gantang, Perak & Bukit Selambau, Kedah) are to be held on the same day, is due to security reasons. Well... What security reasons could there be? People raged into the parliament like a masacre? Journalists causing unwanted mess during the campaigns? That was somewhat absurd at some point.

But on the other hand, rumors said that the only reason why these two by-elections are held on the same day, is because governments are going to snap the chance, and focus on centralizing the firepower for a massive backlash.

The Curious Case of Movies

9:30 PM Edit This 0 Comments »
Once I thought to myself that Alien Vs Predator 2 was a great movie then, since the first episode was not bad, in my own opinion. But many movies which could only be seen in cinema are going downhill soon after AVP2 started in haunting our mind and soul.

These days, things are worsen. You know what, I think that cartoons (pleasantly, marvel cartoons and other cartoons like Transformer are not bad, in fact they are all quite awesome and enjoyable to watch, movie remakes of animes are the roots of the problem), especially animes from Japan, should be left as it is, and never ever being made into a movie or that sort of thing. When a famous anime was modified into a real life people emulating the characters in it, the anime itself will be spoiled.

The circumstance is very similar with broadcasting a very famous song (which you love very much once upon a time) in a camp, but due to some lame mistakes or bad management by the camp organizers; as a consequence, people who were previously crave for that song are now hating the song, wished that they won't hear it again in the near future.

Perhaps many of you out there are looking forward to some of the upcoming movies, with the likes of Dragonball Evolution, and Street Fighter - The Legend of Chun Li... But I have my own stand on this. Well, (no hard feelings to the fans out there, I am a fan to Dragonball as well as Street Fighter too) both of these movies are as if doomed to be big let downs.

First of all, let's talk about Dragonball Evolution. When you look at the trailer, first thing goes into your mind, "why is Goku a white?" And, omg, is that Chow Yun Fatt?? Well, you know, there would be some strange vibes and sensation which makes you feel like as if you're sitting on a seat in the cinema, watching a somewhat lame movie, you feel like releasing the laughing gas, but you couldn't, for there were many spectators sitting around you, anticipating the best from the movie, just like you (if you're a big fan of Dragonball).

Next up, Street Fighter - The Legend of Chun Li. I couldn't agree more with some of the viewers who appeared no problem with Chun Li as the main character revolves around the story, but not Ryu & Ken. But hey, the whole piece of movie still goes wrong as it seems. Lana Lang, one of the Goddess of the pretties in many hearts in men, surprisingly is co-starred in this one. Seriously, I was flabbergasted.

I don't know whether I would give these a go in the near future, but at least for now, it's a "no" from me. "All's Well Ends Well 2009" was also a big failure as far as I'm concerned. The director seemed to be struggling to emulate the '94 & '97 version. I might as well wait for "The Curious Case Of Benjamin Burton"... I wish that this would at least strike a sense of balance in my movie taste for a while (but it seems to be a tear-stealing movie... gurp.).

You know, there are actually individuals out there who are lacking of a mercy heart, and laugh at those who are helpless, and pointing the helpless person and scornfully commented a word, "retard." So who's the real retard? Take a look at the following video:

I'm truly inspired by Nick Vujicic. I thought this was the most amazing and astonishing testimonial I've ever seen in my whole life.

I just hope that Nick could be filled with power and wisdom to continue inspiring people and unfortunates who fell into the snare of sadness.

Staff Dinner - Back to the 70's

9:16 PM Edit This 0 Comments »
Back to the 70's? Did we really nail it with the theme? I guess not... Everyone was so lethargic after a long day of work...

I seriously think that a staff dinner should not be held on such a day (weekday) where everyone was expected to enjoy the night after a long period stare at the PCs. It should be held during the weekends or, perhaps one of the nights of Friday (people would be relieved with the coming of weekends, at least...)

Three of us (including me) took off from the office a couple of hours earlier from the office, and I purposely drove a long way to my colleague's house, just to collect the staff gifts, and drove my old junk back to the office with my colleague. Straight after that, we proceeded to the destination (a restaurant in Bangsar).

Lady Luck was not on our side as we were getting our hands wet with the traffic... Cars honked around on the seemingly never ending queue of vehicles. And we were thinking, "oh gosh, being the event organizers, we probably could not make it earlier like expected."

After entering a wrong restaurant (yup yup, due to our poor senses of direction), and a few car-tailing actions in the house, we finally made it to our destination.

Before the sense of proud overpowered us, there were already cars which were too familiar for us to recognize, parked around at the car park area.

You know, it sucks when the organizers were the last ones to arrive before ALL the guests.

I was initially given the opportunity to be an emcee of the event, but I was grateful that the real emcee (who had encountered an unfortunate incident where her head was hit by a somewhat long steel from the above) returned, thus I could concentrate with my original task of the night, which was taking care of the broadcasting musics (but it sucks too... since our company's first lady was demanding a soft volume... she could not sustain high pitch music, aged people, you see...). Which in turn, caused me managed to take just a few pictures off the event.

GTF CNY Open House 2009

8:57 PM Edit This 0 Comments »
What is "GTF"? Well, that's the name of my current company actually...

We had a long well-planned activity last Saturday, it was quite a successful event, but with a herd of over 130 people attendees, our tiny seminar room was simply flooded!

The above is a video made by our graphic designers (this video is exclusive... It should be used for pre-seminars viewing I reckon...). Though the video seemed to be quite easily done, but everyone who attended seemed to be happily pampered by us in our company, especially the kids. All attendees were showered with gifts, and some were gifted cash as their biggest angpows of the year!

Happy late Chinese New Year! (the 15th day of CNY is just around the corner...)

SLAP!!

11:25 AM Edit This 0 Comments »
I was with my fellow colleagues for a peace luncheon the other day. We went to a usual Chinese Restaurant which serves normal Chinese dishes (You know, for those of you who bumps into UPM often, you could relate the imaginary dishes with those served in Bao Long, the thoughts of those dishes disgust a few of you yeah?).

After we have ordered what could have been our set lunch of peacefulness, suddenly a seemingly angry voice came out from the kitchen. What appeared in front of our eyes was a young bloke shouting towards an uncle who was probably in his early fifties. That uncle is in responsible taking orders from the customers as far as I know.

It was the words that shocked us out of our seats. The youngster (he looks like an illegal immigrant to me) was scolding the old folk with harsh words, with the likes of "stupid", "old fella (in a relatively impolite manner, of course)", and others which I could not recall. It seemed like the old man was asking the staffs in the kitchen to buck up and finish off with all the cooking, since some of the customers were waiting (fortunately it was not us, we don't wanna get involve in such turmoil). Perhaps the uncle got on his nerve, I reckon? Expectantly, customers from all angles were experiencing the awkward scenario.

When we thought that the quarrel has ended a few minutes later, another shocking incident took place. The youngster wen upfront and slapped that old man straight onto his face!

"SLAP!!" it sounds.

The spectacles wore by the pitiful old man flew onto the ground. Fearful eyes which filled with unexplainable hostility were observed on the facial expression of the young bloke. Additionally, he dared the old man to call his mother when the old man was taking out his cellphone and started pressing buttons on it.

Well,we were stunned, and had no appetite to carry on with our self-thought a peaceful luncheon session.

I sincerely hope that nothing else serious than that would happen after we left that place.

Funny Grandmother

10:48 PM Edit This 0 Comments »
My grandmother was unleashing a series of new and hottest jokes recently...

After living with us for so many years, she slowly developed a strange habit of asking us weird questions in our eyes.

When me and my parents are about to go out to work, she would now ask us the same question, with the likes of, "Can I go with you?", "does your company hires people?"

Well.. My grandmother is actually word-blinded. In addition, she is almost 90 year old, an old folk with Alzheimer. Well.. If a company wants to hire her, and promise her a contract of showering her with some coins every month, I would appreciate that company very much for awarding her such a chance to feel young at work again. But that would probably only happen in my dreams.

Of course, it needs mounted patience to deal with Alzheimer patients. One of the best way is to treat them as if they are 3 year old again. And so, my dad was playing around with my grandmother this morning, telling her that he's going to set up a stall somewhere, and my dad would be the person who hires my grandmother in the near future. And of course, my grandmother looked exhilarated and happy, she looks forward to her "future job" very much.

But my dad stated a somewhat tough question for her. He asked my grandmother, if someone ordered a glass of water which costs RM1.20, and the customer asking her for a change with a RM5 note, how much money would she give her back?

You know what, she was stunned, frozen like a snowman in the snowfield, speechless for a.. err.. terribly long period.

Back to Basics

Despite there is still a week left for Chinese New Year, Chinese New Year celebration in real life is virtually over now, since everyone starts to get back to their usual routine; workers work, students study as usual.

But there is something dilly-dallying my mind, I got these provoking mind teaser from a conversation with one of my relatives in one of the days of Chinese New Year.

Somehow, we got to a topic where we were speaking things about the past, things about what we have encountered, be it happiness or sadness we experienced.

Well, about the content of the conversation.... It's better kept unrevealed. But I hate to say that I'm totally disagree with people who often flush statements such as "Time heals all wounds", "Time recovers"... You know what, time does not really heal.

In a way, it's not true at all. Years later, people could still be terribly sad over something which had occurred in the past. Scars remain.

What we could do to these scars within us is depends solely on what kind of solution we use to face the problem. Time, is just a natural tool where it unveils the obstacles deep within your soul, and it makes it as if the problem does not exist at all, but little do we know that, it still does exist in the bottom of our broken hearts.
