The above picture shows Rubina Ali, the latest Oscar darling whom is recognized by every movie-goes in town. Her natural portrayal of the young Latika seemed to give a twist of her previous life, which is living in a slum in Mumbai.

According to the people in the slum, all of them agree that those scenes which are shown in the movie, actually reflects exactly what they are experiencing in real life. They are chased, they beg for foods and norm utilities. Though many viewers of Slumdog Millionaire thought that some of some parts of the plot were exaggerating, but guess what, they are simply too realistic to acknowledge. And the latest incident which shocked us all in the slum, involved our little Oscar darling here.

Rubina Ali, this gifted child is going to be sold to a wealthy family, for approximately 200k pounds! And I nwas flabbergasted at first, since her father was the one who agreed to sell her daughter to the others, in order to gain that handsome amount of money.

According to reported news, it has been shown that Rubina's father used all the money Rubina earned by acting in that Slumdog Millionaire for his own sake. For example, he used the money to treat his broken leg, he bought a cell phone for himself, reason - so that the agents could contact him should there be a movie offered or his daughter. That was kinda lame as far as I'm concerned.

As a father, he did not purchase anything which is considered significant his own flesh. Although David Boyle and the movie crew had promised a house and education funding for Rubina, but Rubina's father did not seem to trust in them.

Well, nobody really know whether or not such promises will be broken into dust. But when I come to think about it in depth, that is how the life goes in the slum of Mumbai. Seriously, it is not an easy task to live in the midst of the slum. Rubina's father only earn 2 to 3 pounds a day, just imagine that... How are they going to survive?

The father of the Oscar darling was saying that the deal will appear to be good for all parties. For the family, they obtain a rich amount of money. For the movie industry, perhaps they have discovered another actress whom could strike the stardom. Most importantly, for Rubina, what is the best thing for her? Will her future be guaranteed a success? Will she live in a blissful family who take good care of her? Many questions are mingling...

Of course, every coin has two different faces. The deal could be bad, or... very unlikely, good for the little Rubina, who still happens to be a naive child. Let's not forget what happened to the adult Latika who later married to a wrong person; a person who although appear to be wealthy, but malicious in his heart.
