The Culture of Chinese?

The culture of Chinese cannot be fully understood just base on a few thousands of historical books, it could take you a lifetime to understand it all. If you're looking for the root of its culture, you have to trace back for an N number of thousand years to enlighten yourself.
But perhaps if you take a look at an event which had just happened in Bukit Gantang, a place where one of the infamous three by-elections was held, you would probably understand how our culture look like? (or perhaps not?)
Before the real thing, of course, the candidates are luring potential voters by convincing them with persuasive speeches as usual. But what surprised me was a brief speech by a somewhat huge figure who happens to be a cabinet member and he is also in-charge of Islamic issues.
The story goes like this, when the campaign was on its way, various delicious food and drinks were served. And the "biggest blockbuster" of the night, was the hot and sizzling dancing performances by three dancers. Soon after the performance, the BN man was asked that whether or not this hot dancing performance would directly magnet a significant number of votes from the nation, the BN man answered, (literally)

"Within this very area, I do not win votes from the Chinese because of these hot dances, but we have to respect that, this is one of the many traditional cultures of Chinese..."
Look, this is the photo taken during the campaign:
Very nicely said... Three girls, whom are bare-shouldered, bare-backed, dancing with the flow of funky musics on the stage, are actually hinting an indication of our precious traditional Chinese culture which aged for over a few thousand years?
